Starting November 2021, Fax.Plus no longer supports logging in or creating new accounts via Facebook credentials. If before this date you would log in with your Facebook account, you are now required to move over to an email and password login type.
Support for Facebook authentication has been removed from Fax.Plus. However, existing Facebook users will still be able to log into and access their accounts after confirming their account details and creating a new password.
In addition, we will be adding the option to create Fax.Plus accounts using existing Microsoft accounts credentials starting from December 2021. New users will be able to easily sign-up using Microsoft.
There will be no change to Google login, and users can continue to sign up and log in using their Google credentials.
While other Identity Provider services, such as Google and Microsoft, can have their security managed by your organization, Facebook accounts on the other hand are personal.
Organizations cannot enforce security settings, such as strong passwords or two-factor authentication (2FA) on users’ personal Facebook logins which favors accounts with weak security layers. As security is our utmost priority here at Fax.Plus, we have made the decision to deprecate Facebook logins.
To ensure continued access to your Fax.Plus account, Facebook users will be required to set a password. In order to do so, simply click here and input the email address associated with your Fax.Plus account.
You will receive an email containing a link to reset your password, and you will then be able to proceed with a normal username/password login using the same email as on Facebook and a newly generated password. Once you’ve logged in, you also have the option to easily change the email associated with your Fax.Plus account by following these steps.
Don’t worry! You can still access your Fax.Plus account. Simply follow the same steps as above to receive a password reset email. You will then be able to log in using your Facebook email and new password.
No matter which login method you chose, we offer the ability to activate 2FA on all of our plans for additional security. Enterprise-level users can also activate SSO for their accounts so that all individuals log in using SAML protocol. This means that you will no longer need to invite new users to join your team one by one via email, and can configure stricter levels of security across the organization.
